MONACA — Visitors to Penn State Beaver’s website will find a new, streamlined design that makes navigating the site more user friendly.
The new design for beaver.psu.edu was unveiled June 21. The Commonwealth Campus sites have been redesigned to have a streamlined look, providing users with a similar experience across all University campus sites.
The website redesign is the result of more than a year of collaboration between the University’s Strategic Communications department, the Office of the Vice President for Commonwealth Campuses IT team, and the Campus Web Group.
The new design of the site is focused on three goals:
- To bring the campus sites into the look previously launched on psu.edu and psu.edu/news. This will help reduce confusion and reinforce the fact that we are all Penn State.
- To focus squarely on attracting new students. The new design makes sure that prospective students immediately find what they need to explore Penn State Beaver.
- To improve the mobile experience for visitors, over half of whom only access the site from their cell phones.
“We expect our impressive new website will serve as a beacon for potential students hoping to earn an excellent Penn State education at a small campus with a global reach,” Penn State Beaver Chancellor Dr. Jenifer Cushman said.
