Penn State Beaver is a small, close-knit campus of about 650 students located on over 100 acres in the heart of Beaver County. Small classes and one-on-one attention are the hallmark of the Penn State Beaver experience.
Many of our students choose to spend all four years here, pursing one of our 10 baccalaureate degrees: Biology, Business (accounting and marketing & management options), Communications, Criminal Justice (BA and BS), Computer Science, Cybersecurity Analytics & Operations, Health Policy & Administration, Information Sciences & Technology, Project & Supply Chain Management, and Psychology (BA and BS).
Others pursue the popular 2+2 program, starting the first two years of one of Penn State’s 275+ degrees at Beaver and finishing the final two years at University Park or another Penn State campus.
No matter where they start and finish, students graduate with a degree that says Penn State University, becoming part of the world’s largest and most powerful alumni network.
Beaver students enjoy lower tuition when compared to University Park. Plus, more than 75 percent of first-year students receive a scholarship to attend.
Penn State Beaver’s student body is ethnically and geographically diverse. Nearly 25 percent of students come from an under-represented group, and students come from 26 states across the United States, including Alaska and Hawaii.
The availability of on-campus housing and the campus’ location close to Pittsburgh International Airport, with convenient access to Pittsburgh’s sports and cultural scene, makes it a popular choice for students near and far.
